Banff / Lake Louise Areas You can still take your vehicle to the actual lake at Lake Louise but parking is limited in the high season and you must get up the road very early to get one! There is now a parking fee of $21.00 for private vehicles at the Lake Louise lake parking lot.The parking fee is in effect from May to early October and covers the time period of 7am to 7pm. Moraine Lake has been closed to private vehicles so only shuttles, taxis and bicycles :( New in 2023: Parks Canada is offering daily shuttles from the Lake Louise ski hill parking to the Lake Louise Lakeshore and Moraine Lake. Available from May to Early October 2023. Shuttles must be reserved ahead of time to guarantee a seat. Walk up seats are not available.
