This gospel presentation is
directed more for the young to older adult who has walked down one of
the many alluring wrong paths that present itself in this world and have
found the path incredibly non-satisfying, empty, enslaving or degrading.
Steps to Peace with God and How
to be Born Again with
Deliverance from the Powers of Darkness
Step One
God loves you and calls you to turn from
your self-directed life and the sinful fruit it produces and be
reconciled to Him through the Shed Blood payment of his Son.
John 3:16-19 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the
world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not
condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he
hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
3:19 And this is the condemnation, that
light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,
because their deeds were evil.
God's View of Your Inner Nature
Romans 3:10-18 As it is written, There is none
righteous, no, not one:
3:11 There is none that understandeth,
there is none that seeketh after God.
3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they
are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not
one.
3:13 Their throat is an open
sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps
is under their lips:
3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing
and bitterness:
3:15 Their feet are swift to shed
blood:
3:16 Destruction and misery are in
their ways:
3:17 And the way of peace have they not
known:
3:18 There is no fear of God before their
eyes.
Matthew 15:18-20 But those things which
proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the
man.
15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil
thoughts, murders, adulteries (married people engaging in a new sexual
relationship without being Biblically divorced), fornications (any
sexual activity outside of a marriage between a man and a women),
thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
15:20 These are the things which
defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh
(self-directed life) are manifest, which are these; Adultery,
fornication, uncleanness (defilement due to moral sins such as lying),
lasciviousness (sexual excess without shame),
5:20 Idolatry (honoring or venerating icons
and idols for benefits gained), witchcraft (occult practices including
drug use seeking benefits from the spiritual world), hatred, variance
(disputes with animosity), emulations (jealous or malicious rivalries),
wrath, strife (provoking to arguments), seditions (rebellion against
parents and others in authority), heresies (holding false ideas about
God),
5:21 Envyings, murders (internal thoughts
also), drunkenness, revellings (living to party), and such like: of the
which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past,
that they which do (practice as a way of life) such things shall not
inherit the kingdom of God.
God in his love for us wants to deliver
from being sent to hell
Jesus in his earthly ministry warned over
and over again about the reality of hell for those who would not deal
with their sin and be reconciled to God through the payment to be made
on the cross!
Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which
was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
Luke 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named
Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Luke 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs
which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked
his sores.
Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar
died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man
also died, and was buried;
Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being
in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham,
have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger
in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that
thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil
things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and
you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence
to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore,
father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
Luke 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may
testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Luke 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have
Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
Luke 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but
if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not
Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose
from the dead.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them
was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the
false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne,
and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled
away; and there was found no place for them.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and
great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was
opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those
things which were written in the books, according to their works. (by the
works of the law no person shall enter heaven or any system of rituals and
do’s and don’ts be it Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam etc)
Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead
which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in
them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast
into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found
written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
(the book of life is all those who have been
spiritually born again through surrender of the will, repentance about
their sinfulness and put their 100% trust in the finished payment on the
cross alone)
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle
word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of
judgment.
Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be
justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
2 Thessalonians 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in
you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your
persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
2 Thessalonians 1:5 Which is a manifest token of
the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the
kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
2 Thessalonians 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous
thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
2 Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled
rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his
mighty angels,
2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking
vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our
Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Thessalonians 1:9 Who shall be punished with
everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory
of his power;
Step Two
Man is born under the power of sin and Satan and is separated from God.
Man is Sinful
Psalm 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine
iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Psalm 51:3 For I acknowledge my
transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
Psalm 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I
sinned, and done this evil in thy
sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest,
and be clear when thou judgest.
Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
All sin is ultimately against God first and
foremost. We have said I will not seek and do your will but I will do my
will! Satan was the first self-willed being who still promotes "do as thou
wilt".
Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his own
stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way and fellowship
with God was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of
active rebellion or passive indifference, is an evidence of what the Bible
calls sin.
John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant (slave) of
sin. (all of us)
Man is Under the Power and Deception of Satan
1 John 5 v 19 … the whole world lieth in
wickedness (or the power of the evil one)
Revelation 20 v 3 Satan was bound for 1,000
years … that he should deceive the nations no more
The Bible calls Satan’s reign as the "kingdom
of darkness" characterized by everybody practicing sin not even realizing
their lost spiritual condition.
Colossians 1 v 13 Who hath delivered us from
the power (kingdom) of darkness and hath transferred us into the kingdom
of His dear Son! When you are "born again" you are transferred out of the
kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of the Son.
Man Is Separated from God
"The wages of sin is death" [spiritual separation from God] (Romans 6:23).
